There are three types of costs you will pay when using the services of a lawyer.
Fees
Fees are what the lawyer charges for his or her legal services.
Legal services such as Real Estate Transactions, Wills, Estates, and Incorporations are usually a set rate or predetermined fee. Please contact us for a quote.

Disbursements
Disbursements are service-specific costs which are necessarily incurred by our firm on your behalf. These may include such items as file administration, costs related to filing documents with the courts or other bodies (such as Land Titles or Alberta Registries), courier charges, long distance charges, transcripts, postage, court costs, etc. These are in addition to legal fees and will be billed as they are incurred.

Other charges are photocopy and fax expenses incurred by the firm on your behalf and these are billed in addition to disbursements and legal fees.
